About A-102
A-102 provides map-based tools for elevation, terrain profiles, line of sight, 3D terrain, tracks, buildings and route energy analysis.
What the service does
- checks point elevation and builds elevation profiles;
- calculates LOS and Fresnel clearance;
- creates terrain and building visualizations;
- works with tracks, live location and saved projects;
- provides API access where enabled.
Buildings in 2D
Building calculations in LOS, topographic maps and shadow calculations are available to signed-in users. Buildings are off by default and must be enabled manually. Premium is required for 3D modes. Terrain Study includes relevant surrounding buildings automatically as part of that separate report workflow.
Efficient route
The route tool compares available driving routes by estimated fuel or electricity use. It combines road geometry, an elevation profile and user-entered vehicle parameters. Access may be limited while the module is being tested.
- Local routing uses OSRM with OpenStreetMap data; Yandex Maps route geometry may be used when the local router is unavailable.
- Efficient mode can compare up to five available options and selects the lowest estimated energy use, which may differ from the fastest or shortest route.
- Traffic, temporary closures, road signs, vehicle-specific restrictions, weather and current road conditions may not be included.
- Consumption and cost are estimates. The result does not replace navigation and does not guarantee actual savings.
- Verify the route and restrictions using current official sources before travelling.
Data limitations
Coverage and precision depend on available DEM, building, land-cover and mapping sources. Results are analytical reference data and do not replace surveying, cadastral records, engineering investigations or official navigation information.
