Data Sources
A-102 combines several data sources. Availability and resolution vary by location and access level.
Elevation
- DEM 30 m: detailed terrain elevation where coverage and access are available.
- DEM 250 m: fallback elevation source outside detailed coverage.
Maps and routes
- Yandex Maps: base map, interactive map interface and fallback driving-route geometry, subject to the Yandex Maps API terms.
- OpenStreetMap: road graph and road attributes used for local routing. Data is licensed under ODbL 1.0 and attributed as © OpenStreetMap contributors.
- Project OSRM: the BSD-2-Clause routing engine used to calculate fastest, shortest and alternative routes over the loaded OpenStreetMap graph. OSRM is software, not a separate road-data source.
The efficient-route estimate combines road geometry, the available DEM profile and user-entered vehicle parameters. It may not include live traffic, closures, signs, weather or all vehicle restrictions and must not be treated as official navigation guidance.
Buildings and land cover
Building footprints and surface classes depend on installed regional datasets. ESA WorldCover attribution is shown where its data is used.
Derived results
LOS, profiles, shadows, insolation and 3D terrain are derived from available elevation and object data. They do not account for every temporary object, vegetation, weather condition or local obstruction.
Important: verify critical decisions using independent official data and field measurements.
