What does the calculation check?
- Is there direct visibility between selected points, taking into account the terrain.
- How the terrain changes along the route between objects.
- Where the terrain profile may intersect the Fresnel line or zone.
For radio links, cameras, communication points and on-site route assessment: select two points, check the terrain profile, heights and Fresnel zone margin.
LOS means line of sight, that is, direct visibility between two points. In A-102, the calculation shows the profile of the terrain and helps to understand whether there is an obstacle on the route.
Yes. The public page describes the scenario and leads to calculations, and the interactive LOS module opens after logging into your account.
No. The calculation is suitable for preliminary assessment, but critical decisions need to be verified by measurements, current data on objects and profile design.
