- DEM
- Digital elevation model: a grid of terrain elevation values.
- Elevation profile
- A graph of elevation along a line or route.
- LOS
- Line of sight between two points.
- Fresnel zone
- An area around a radio path that should remain sufficiently clear for reliable propagation.
- Elevation gain
- The sum of uphill elevation changes along a route.
- Grade
- Vertical change relative to horizontal distance, usually expressed as a percentage.
- Insolation
- Exposure to direct solar radiation for a location and time.
- Track
- An ordered series of geographic points representing movement.
- Efficient route
- An estimate that compares available driving routes by calculated fuel or energy use using route geometry, terrain and vehicle parameters.
- Estimated consumption
- A modelled value, not a guarantee of actual fuel, electricity use or trip cost.
- Saved project
- A user-owned calculation, map or track stored in the cabinet.
